Carle Auditory Oral School is an Illinois State Board of Education approved school
program serving preschool through second grade students.

Language rich environment – children are immersed in spoken and written language to maximize communication skills
Theme based units of study – developed for preschool/ pre-K and K/1/ 2 are explored at appropriate developmental levels in each classroom. Each group also has an exciting discovery center with hands on play and learning opportunities to allow the unit of study to come to life.
Developing a solid foundation – in phonological awareness, early reading and math skills. In addition to these basics, students in K/ 1/ 2 have opportunities to explore science and social studies concepts, and gain experience with early music, art and physical education skills.
11 month calendar, beginning in early August and continuing until late June. Children participate in 200 school days, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Before and aftercare is available at an additional cost. A childcare program is available on teacher institute days and July break. |
