Before and After School Care

The Carle Auditory Oral School operates on an 11 month calendar. School begins in early August and continues until late June. School hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you need care for your child before 9 am and after 3 pm that service is available for an additional cost. A childcare program is also available on teacher institute days and during the July break too.

Tuition, including scheduled days of before and after school care and child care on teacher institute days, are billed out every other week beginning August 16. Payments are expected within two weeks following the invoice date. Automatic payments can be arranged through Tuition Express. Payroll deduction, in addition to a 10% discount, is available for Carle Foundation employees.

Before and after care slots for the 2011 - 2012 school year can be secured at the time of your child's enrollment. Alternatively, families will have the opportunity to request care two to three weeks prior to the start of each new month. Families will be billed for each day of reserved care, regardless of their child's actual attendance. When an unforeseen child care need arises, parents can contact the school office to requiest drop-in care for an additional charge. Parent's requests will be processed within one business day.
